Thinking of ordering OEM inner tie rods. Does anyone know if I would have to pay import duties on auto parts shipped from Japan or UAE?

I didn't. I think I just got the inner tie rods from them. Outer, was through Camelback.

That's what I am planning on doing. Buy outer tie rods from Camelback and inner tie rods from Amayama.

Definitely depends. Typically on values under $200 USD you will not pay duty but it depends on how it's declared, etc. They will declare the export value in JPY.
I've bought from them half a dozen times or so and never had duties on my orders. Then again, I'm in Canada so YMMV.

Also in Canada and have been nervous to put a big order through, for fear of ridiculous import duties.
What were the values of your orders?
Im wondering if making seperate orders would be better, vs one large order.

I think separate orders would kill you on the shipping. I recently ordered and paid a bit more for parts from UAE as they had everything I wanted. Technically there were a couple parts from Japan that were cheaper, but when considering the extra shipping for two orders it was better to get them all on one. Package was at the Toronto airport yesterday so I expect I'll get them today or tomorrow. Will report back on duties!
When commenting about import duties etc., make sure you are NOT in a different country. I bought many Auto parts from all over the world and never had to pay import duties.
Amayama is good but they will not give you the best and cheapest shipping option. I wanted to buy a 92 toyota pickup rear pinion flange ($30 value) and shipping with tracking for $12 (Japanese post), but they said that shipping method is currently unavailable and the next shipping rate is $35 through DHL. The item weight slightly less than 1 Kg.

I have around $250 worth of parts and shipping in a Amayama cart and would be loathe to have to pay an additional tax... ugh

I wonder if splitting your order would be more expensive. I don't claim to know anything about Duty fees though.

Shipping fees seemed kinda flat, meaning it didn't change much as I added items, so splitting the order makes for over $60 in shipping - also no thanks. Lol

Have you compared the prices of inners to the whole rack? A new rack from Toyota comes with new inners and it may be worth the nominal price difference

About $557 for OEM rack. Inner tie rods purchased from Amayama UAE is about $185 including shipping.

I was gonna order inner and outer at the same time from Amayama, and then it became $250+ with shipping

I used them for all my JDM-only parts for my 3s-gte swapped Camry. Reasonable, considering where the parts have to come from! Heavy stuff should ordered from North America though - shipping EMS gets expensive if it is large/heavy.
I don't remember ever paying duties, but things may have changed since the last time I purchased an expensive order.

My last orders have been $160, $260 and $230 CAD each. I buy small parts on from them and have not been charged duty yet (I ship Japan Post / EMS).
One of the major advantages for me are that pricing is very good (usually 20-25% of what the local dealer charges) and the shipping is usually about 4 days once everything is consolidated (they will pull from local Toyota dealers in Japan if they don't have stock).
US American dealers don't ship to Canada so our options are more limited.

I've ordered pretty often from US dealers to Canada, directly or from Ebay. Very possible, and still cheaper than buying from Toyota canada. These are crooks. But Amayama is the real deal for the smaller parts. Very very good price there compared to Canada, even considering shipping and conversion.
