amp install - need your input

under the part that flips up to extend the trunk size...

it may help to know the generation 4runner you have.

as for the 4th gen. it's not possible because there is no room under the rear seats. i have my amp mounted under the front passenger seat. you can check out the pictures in my sig.

i've never got a straight answer about the vents under the seats - what do people do with them, do i have to be concerned with them???

you do not need to be concerned with them overheating your amp. i run my feet warmers full blast everday during the winter and the amp still works fine.

the amp is bolted straight down into the floorboard. i had a shop to it because i can't trust myself to drill into my own car.....ouch!

Unless you can find an amp that is paper thin (yes paper thin), there's ZERO chance that you can put an amp under the 2nd row seats.

My amp is mounted on top of the vent under the passenger front seat too. I didn't bolt it to the truck though. Instead I put mdf under the carpet and screwed the amp into that. Bolting it directly to the truck would be much safer though.

i think i may go this route, i need 2 amps (1 for sub 1 for rest), so one under each seat...

carpc may go into gc... may have to hack it up
