I miss the good old days of being able to get stacked mail in rebates pushing $200 off on a set of tires at Discount with their credit card. Blah. Especially considering Tirerack has $150 off on a $1000 or more for BFG and Michelin right now.

I was holding off to see if there were possibly any deals on Grabber ATXs as well, but I guess no sense in waiting any longer.

Must be a product of the current perceived economic climate. Companies are either super aggressive with marketing/discounts trying to get customers in when they otherwise wouldn't, or holding fast because every dollar counts and people still "need" tires right now.

I'm super disappointed. Their margin on tires is incredibly high, especially on Michelin/BFG. Having a more aggressive sale wouldn't hurt them in the slightest.

There was $100 off a set of 4 recently at Discount Tire, I picked up 285/70 AT3Ws.

I was hoping to catch a deal on the falkens but they aren't running any promotions on them. Walmart is doing $127 and falken themself is doing $80 rebate on the a set of 4 so I might have discount match it and than just get the 80 back direct from falken.

BFG has stiffed me on the rebate 3 times.......for $275 total! You fill out the online or paperwork and wait 6 weeks+ and it never comes and they blow you off when you call to find out what happened. Needs to be applied at purchase or you may never see it. 4WheelParts is better because they will deal with no tax and free shipping to the house, then I mount them at America's Tire. I paid $770 for 4 KO2's in 285/70/17 and 100 to mt and balance at America's so $870 OTD

Back in April, I got a set of 265/70 KO2s from Discount Tire for $780 delivered... either $80 or $100 flash sale... can't remember, and there were $179 in gift card rebates afterwards. So for 4 tires, $600 before mount and balance.

With the propensity of balance issues for our vehicles I'd be inclined to want to buy where I mount in case I end up needing to push for changing out a tire or what not though.

The Tirerack.com discount is pretty tempting right now though... I don't necessarily have a big driver to upgrade until late August anyway before a trip to Colorado with some wheeling planned. I could also just bite the bullet and hope I don't flat one of my Nittos.

American Tire Depot has some great deals if you live in California. I got the same deal 3 weeks ago. AT3W’s SL rated 285/70-17 for $832 out the door. Taxes, balancing, lifetime road hazard certs and 4 metal TPMS rebuild kits. That was the price before the $100 mail in rebate and 4 tickets to Kart racing in Burbank, which, is somewhat close to me.
