Android auto won't work

Hi I've rented a 21 plate 4runner and can't get Android auto to work I've connected Bluetooth and connected a cable to the USB next to the power socket under the display occasionally it says disconnect and reconnect but nothing happens. It works fine in my e class

Any ideas?

I have and disabled and re enabled it

Press the voice button on the steering for like 4seconds and see if it displays AA on the media'screen. Sometimes the USB cord is the issue. factory resetting the head unit has worked for some.

Cheers any heads-up on how to reset it? I will try pick up a cable somewhere I brought 3 usb-a to c cables and yeah 2 don't even connect one does but has the above issue

My solution was to buy an adapter. Actually i do not need a wireless connection, what i need is stable connection. Even disconnection few times after i use adapter, it is already better a lot than before.
