Angeles Crest, Los Angeles

This photo was taken on a fun and nerve rattling trip along the Angeles Crest Mountains about an hour north of Los Angeles. This was in a series of trails connected to the Monte Cristo campgrounds.
There are these massive powerlines humming over my head that go for hundreds of miles in both directions.

(THE 4Runner has had a lot of work since last year when I went here...)

Nice. I spent about a week doing most of the fire roads up there years ago in my chevy Z71. If I get some time off, I want to do it again in my new 4Runner before they close a lot of them for fire season. I bet it's nice up there now.

mud today !

I 'm going to try and get some mud in the stream crossings up there !
It just rained yesterday !
