I'm in Annapolis, but I don't know any off roading areas. I'm sure they're out there but I am more or less newer to the area. If you find something let me know. Good luck! BTW, are you a Midshipmen?

Annapolis here! I'm still on the search myself. I'm probably heading out to shenandoah again next fall and try to find some trail riding. I bet there has got to be some stuff on the eastern shore, the only little trails that I have found are on peoples property, and they are VERY short.

I've also heard of asseteek (however it is spelled, I just moved up here) island and you can get a pass to drive 4wd on the beach and camp anywhere on the 20mi stretch. Was thinking about doing that with some friends this summer. A little bonfire, surf, 4wd, and beer could be fun.

Trial Run at Green Ridge

oksailor, Captain Morgan and nmsail,

If you all are still interested in hitting some trails I am heading out to Green Ridge State Forest this saturday 10/30/10. I am leaving Annapolis at 8:00am. The trails are the closest one we have and it is less than 2 hours from here.

Pete

Just joined the forum and wanted to say hi. I live in Annapolis. Does anyone know of a reputable shop in the Baltimore/Annapolis area that can install my Cornfed lift kit? I stopped by Mid Atlantic 4X4 in Glen Burnie today and they wanted $525 to install the spacers. I asked them what their hourly rate was and they said $88. Do the math. From everything I have read on this board it is a 3-4 hour job, not a 6 hour job.

Welcome! good to see someone else from naptown. I see you must sail too???

I'd be interested helping with an install, don't have a lift myself though because of the xreas and t4r is still my ride to work (not economical for a lift yet...) Do you have the xreas system?

I jumped on here to see if anyone would like to make a trip to Green Ridge State forrest (~2.5 hrs from annapolis) trail riding is free for registered vehicles. I am thinking either 1/8 or 1/15

New in town

Also in Annapolis; just moved to town and saw this thread. I've been down to Assateague (correct spelling) a few times. Fun beach driving, but a bit pricey ($75/year) unless you go often. More info at Assateague Island Beach - Recreational Use. Around 3 hours drive from here.

Glad to see so much local activity on the forum!

I live in Rockville and got my Toytec lift installed by the guys @ Trick Trucks in Fredrick for $350 and they did a great job! Would highly recommend them....ask for Josh.

Glad to hear some good reviews on a place in the area. We just had a trip down in VA and you guys need to come along next time.

I am in Arnold. Moved here 8 months ago. Posted on the off-road section about places to off road in md, but from what I gather, not a lot of places. I grew up in Utah and then lived in Vegas and I am missing all the off reading options in both those states!
