Annoying Popup Ads

Is there any way to get rid of the annoying popup ads? I know the site needs to generate funds to keep it going but these ads are annoying as hell. I didn’t see these pop up’s before.

It’s some type of news ad that pops up in the lower right corner. Once you click on the “X” it moves to the top of the screen.

Register to hide this ad
In Chrome on android, right hand upper on screen, go to more settings and block popup ads and redirects.
Other browsers might have a different way.

Started using CCleaner Browser today and no more popups, no more ads at all in fact. :jump:

In Win11

I’m running iOS on iPad. Blockers are on for Safari but still getting through. Switched to Brave browser. Problem solved.

I love Brave browser. It blocks everything, even youtube ads.

Yes me too. Its my favorite and my primary browser. However, every now and then it doesn’t work well on some website. I stay clear Google and Microsoft browsers. Also check out CyberGhost browser. It’s pretty good and the have a good VPN too.

Pop up video ads

Come on folks.

This isn't 1999. There shouldn't be popup ads, let alone videos.

I understand it costs $ to maintain a web forum, but it's outta hand.

If you are tech savvy, check out Pi-hole. Ad blocking at the network level so all your devices are covered. I use Tapatalk mostly and it blocks all the ads especially the annoying videos that blast audio in btw scrolling posts .

Never heard of Brave for iPad. Downloaded the app and now trying.

Same here - yesterday was my first use. The User interface is a bit different but loading time was quick and absolutely no ads which is important for my Ipad and my phone with their tiny screens.

I wish the forum just had the option to donate for an ad-free experience. The problem with running ad blockers for me is that half the sites that I visit force me to turn off the extension before I can view the content

I’ve been browsing using Brave this morning on my iPad. It’s nice not having the ads on this site. I first found the text size too small, but finally found the settings and adjusted.

I’m still using Safari for general browsing. Not because I like it better, I just haven’t taken the time to migrate all my bookmarks over to the new browser. And the vast majority of the sites I visit don’t have any ads, or they’re not intrusive.

This site has gotten ridiculous in the past weeks. Now when I open in Safari, I have multiple videos and ads piling up and blocking the view of all content, including the first ads to pop up. So now I have this site bookmarked on Brave and am using it presently solely for this site.
