Annual mileage

I have a (fairly) new 2006 Toyota 4 Runner.

Based on my current driving habits, it looks like I will put on about 15,000-16,000 miles in my baby's first year.

I was just wondering how this compares to everyone else's driving habits.

In particular, I want to take a few road trips this summer and wondered how the 4Runners held up.

Thanks.

I have 30,250 miles on my truck and it is about 19.5 months old. This averages out to around 18,615 miles a year. My 4Runner has held up fine. On the other hand, it should be strong since it is a Toyota!

We put about 17,000 miles annually on the 4Runner. IMO the 4Runner is good for road trips, I like it, but maybe for the older peeps with back problems with have a harder time with the road trips.

Had mine 16 months.. 18k. Don't worry about the mileage. My 04 had 68k on it in 2 years. It ran like new, but the 06 just lured me away from it.

I just passed 3 years and I'm at 33k so I'm at the "average" of 12k a year.

Car pooling with and having a scooter helps keep the mileage down...

Purchased in December 2003 (2004 4Runner) and crossed 91,000 miles on my way home tonight. Goes in next week for a new timing belt.

Rock solid SUV.

I'm running about 6,500-7,000 miles a year.
Living close to work is a wonderful thing! Before I changed jobs, I put 30,000 miles a year on my last car.

About 12K or so a year. 34K on the clock. I take about 3, 1500 mile trips a year up the the Mt's so much of that is hwy. I get a tank of gas every 3 weeks.

I average anywhere from 40,000 to 50,000 miles per year.

I cover a multi-state territory. Fun, huh?

I average about 22K miles a year. But, back in 04 I offset the high mileage by buying a 5 speed beater.

I put 12K miles on the 5 speed before a drunk totalled it.

Unfortunatly, my new job is in NYC and my 4runner will become my station car. Poo Hoo

This April will be my 4Runners 1st birthday, and I am currently sitting at 19,500K. Guessing to be at about the 22K mark by then. Lots of trips to see family out of state this year racked up alittle more than usual. But I bought this truck to drive it, not garage it.

Yesterday was the fourth anniversary of the in-service date, January 31, 2003. Late last week it hit 30,000 miles. It's sitting at the airport with about 30,100 miles now.

I do 25-27k per year. my daily driver. The other 2 cars dont get used much . The Escape is my wifes DD and gets about 10k per year. The Cobra .... well thats lucky if it gets driven at all , last year I put 20 miles on it ...lol.

May try to sell the Cobra this summer, but its an addicting fast car.

When purchased it had 6 miles on it and 30 months later have 27K miles on it. It is as tight today as it was when delivered and honestly is really just starting to get broken in good in my opinion.

I bought mine in January 05 and i will hit 30k tomorrow. I really wanted to keep the miles low but two trips to Texas (6K) and a tirp to Leavenworth KS (3K) changed all that real quick. I must say that its been a real pleasure putting on those miles. I love driving my truck and she still turns heads. The only upside is now i can finally replace my Dumblops and get some better tires!

Now that i live in San Antonio i love my 4R even more since people seem to like trucks here...allot. My Baby stands out from the crowd.

I bought my 4runner in January 05 with 232 miles on it. I have 45,900 on it now. I am looking for a new daily driver since i changed jobs, and my commute is 40 miles each way. I keep the 4runner as a weekend car.

My 2006 is 17 months old (Sept of 2005) and has 23k miles on it. It's running great and I've made a few long trips up to Ohio, Nashville, and to Kansas. The truck is a pleasure to drive and is pretty darn quiet too.

Enjoy your new truck!
David

Bought in May of '05 with 62 miles. Currently right around 33,000 miles. Not one single issue, still love everything about it.
