another 02 sensor question

Got the "cel" last night on the way home. Stopped by autozone today and kid claims front 02 sensor is bad. He looks in computer and shows me a denso for $145 and zero bosch to fit my vehicle.

Is denso all that is available for my 1999 limited or all that maybe autozone carries?

Anyone tried another sensor other than denso? Any luck? I'll pay it if I have too, its just been rough at work and money is tight in our family like so many others. With so many people having issues with them is it realy worth the extra coin if it is just going to keep failing?

All I have ever used is Denso from URD. Changed front A/F at 75,000 and rear O2 at 95,000. I have a '99 Cali. manual 3.4 V6. I have only heard bad things about the Bosch. $145 is very good for a Denso Cali A/F, lousy for a Denso 49State O2. Make absolutely sure you have right sensor for your machine--Cali front sensors are totally different from 49 State and manual v. automatic is different enough to end up throwing codes.

What do you mean by 'keep failing'? I think design life is 70-90k; where are you at in terms of miles until failure? You may have another problem if you are getting premature failure. Running rich will kill them, for example.

Here is the link to URD if the Bosch doesn't work out:

I'm changing mine tomorrow. Got them from amazon.com. URD wanted 85 and amazon was 63 a piece. it's the 49 state one, not cali. i physically went underneath the truck to look at the part numbers of both existing o2 sensors, and then cross referenced them to the new numbers. also, ordered the new nuts from Toyota and picked them up today as well. will post pics if i can take them with the iphone. it's rusty as hell underneath so hopefully this won't turn into a bigger project.
