Man I'm feeling a little better about the cops in my area knowing that they actually were trying to help. I think it's because thats the most action they get. Being in a mountain community, there really isnt that much going on.No aftermarket stereo since 2005. I have had enough after being broken into the second time. cops didn't do $hit.
I dont have comprehensive, which would cover the glass, and brake in stuff.Clemsonfan15 said:Why doesn't your insurance over it?
Funny you should say that, I actually skied at Mary Jane that day.4ll4boutda4play said:Man... thats shitty business right there guy.. sorry for your trouble... next time go to Grand County ... Winter Park... alot less of the re****ed pricks up there as far as crooks are concerned.
I wonder if the 3m Scotchshield Ultra films would help stop, or slowdown guys like this. I have never seen the stuff but it's advertised all over Florida to improve wind resistance and security for commercial and residential windows.
Good luck!
On the other hand, a good friend goes by the theory that the tonneau cover is just advertising that you have something worth hiding from view.... You never know what someone will be thinking.
Cargo covers will deter some since most thieves want to see in before they determine if a break in is worth the time (which is a big factor when stealing)when a thief can see what he definetly can steal in the car next to it. I always use mine. Keeping things hidden is a no brainer.
Also those huge ALPINE stickers assist thieves too and I see those ona lot of SUVs around here.
What shit heads! I'm sorry, man. That's a big bummer. I was at dinner with my friends last night, and a whole ROW of cars were broken into. This, what I would imagine to be, clever criminal, shot in the locks on 4 or 5 cars including my friends. (Jacked insurance papers, etc).
Have your friend(s) double check to see if they're insurance papers contain their address and if they're missing their registration and garage door openers.
My dad's coworker's quick thinking of requesting the cops the to go to his house rather than to where he was parked caught the burglars red handed, when he discovered his car broken into with missing documents and garage door opener.
