I hate myself for doing this but here we go anyway. I have a 17 Sr5 Stock. Cooper AT3. Got about 20k and they are getting bad. I was thinking TOYO at3 or grabber ATX. Daily driver about 50 miles a day half highway. Grabbers are about $160 cheaper so really for me cost isn’t the deciding factor. Very little off road but honestly still want the “look”. Wet and snow traction are my biggest wants I suppose. Tire rack rates the grabber slightly better for whatever that’s worth. What should I get??

I got BFG KO2. I am happy with them.
Had the coopers a few years ago and never got them to balance out, gave them away with 5k miles on them to a friend with a yukon worked fine for him, no regrets giving them away.
Then got the toyo at3 and couldn't be happier, very quiet, ride great, would purchase again in a heartbeat.
Didn't get my at3's from this dealer but did get some toyo gsi 6 for another car as I still have good blizzacks for my runner and had great pricing and delivered in 3 days, will use them again in the future.

General Grabber HD
I found the General Grabber HD were great on my 4th gen and I look forward to putting them on my 5th gen. They were fine for woods roads, back roads - definitely not for any real off road but they balanced great, lasted, were quiet and great traction for an HD tire. I want with the OWL - which looked great with my salsa red 4Runner.
I had run Cooper AT3s for quite a few years as an all-year and winter tire but found at 1/2 tread that they didn't hold their own as a winter tire - went to General Grabber Arctic - which are phenomenal.
I'm running Hankook Winter X for this winter on my 2021 and they grip like crazy but are super noisy especially on wet roads. They say they put in like 25% more sipes and you can hear it. Hopefully going back to General Arctic's next winter!

I’m running the ATX in the Oregon mountains and the rain and snow performance is very good. However, the first set caused a vibration from the rear and a steering wheel shake. After four road force balances in the first 1,000 miles Discount Tire ordered four replacement tires for me. The replacement tires have been good from the start. Onroad performance is good and tread noise is pretty low. My only hesitation is the balance problems with the first set. The first set had a manufacture date of 34th week of 2020. The replacements are much newer at 46th week of 2021.

Can't go wrong with KO2's IMO. A good balance, alignments, rotations, and proper psi are key. 100k+ miles experience with them on my 4R. 90k on the first set, well into the second set. I run 44 psi for everyday driving, air down off road where applicable. Good luck with your choice!

I just got a set of the AT3's a couple of weeks back at Discount Tire. Love 'em so far.
Everyone I've spoken to that tried K02's in wet places (especially cold and wet places) hated them and constantly ragged on their awful traction when wet.

I live in the Midwest so we get our fair share of rain, snow, sun, whatever else. I’ve never had an issue with KO2’s. I’m always the type too that will get new tires every 30k or less. I think they are a great all around tire.

I have had KO2's in the past on my Pro-4x Xterra and found them to be garbage in wet weather. I feather the gas pedal off the line and would inadvertently spin the tires with the KO2's, even slipped when taking a turn at normal speed and then applying the gas coming out of the turn. Never an issue with my Falken WildPeak ATW3's though.

Ko2 is garbage in wet and snow if that is what you want as most important. I can only speak to NW weather, and it inspires no confidence. With wet and snow here, many of my friends and I have stopped using KO2.
Falken Wildpeaks, huge different. Way better in wet, and also less city road noise.
Just my 2 cents, but stay away from KO2, there are better wet options.

Not sure who you've spoken to, I live on the east coast in the low country of the south and have plenty of rain. 100,000+ miles of driving and traction is exactly what I would expect for any all terrain tire. If you want to drive your runner like a race car in the rain, get a street tire. If you want to go on/off road, KO2's are well rounded IMO. They will go on my Land Cruiser as well as soon as the current tires need to be replaced.
One of the people I trust most when it comes to truck/off road related things ran K02's forever on his truck until he got stuck on a ~10% grade driveway and was spinning all 4 wheels in 4H. That's enough for me to skip them entirely.
Couldn't have said it any better ! But I run 39lbs of air for daily driving. (Load Range C)

Odd, I can barely spin my tires on wet roads even if I try, much less in 4wd. I think there are some better liked AT tires for wet driving, but again I've never had any issues with KO2 other than in mud or ice and I do everything I can to avoid that anyway.
