Trying To Decide Between Michelins Or Continental

Continental has beefier side walls than Michelin. it may be same thickness, but Michelin more flexible. That's what I feel compare used tires at local tire shop.

Ironically i purchased my 4Runner partly because my Michelin SS kept blowing out the side walls on my Mazda3. It was mostly due to being low profile, but 6x times in a year, no way...

I tried to find it but there was a video of how thin there side walls are and how easy it was flipping them inside out.

OK, thanks to fkheath's guidance in his reply above, hopefully here are some pics of my new SUMITOMOs on my T4R.

Sorry, I guess the first pic of the whole vehicle doesn't show much detail of the tires.

I stayed with the stock size- SL 265/70 R17s, but to me, they look bigger than the factory installed DUNLOPs that were on it.

Once I recover a bit from this tire expense, I'm going to take my 4RUNNER in to a local shop to have them do a mild lift to the front end, using the Bilstein model 5100 adjustable front shocks. I just want it lifted about an inch in front.
