Another ATRAC explanation

Slipping on gravel while making a slow turn, up an incline is what was typed. So in this instance, it’s very possible that articulation played a part.

Yes, and for more imagery ... I help train bird dogs. Getting from the club house to the training area is gravel and several washout areas, one of those is when we make a sharp very slow turn through a gate. The gate is maybe 10' wide but the turn is sharp. We've had people scrape the inside post, therefore a 1mph or less turn. At that point is a washout with loose gravel Plus about a 10degree incline. Basically some are nearly stopped before climbing the little hill.

As far as the size of vehicle?? The AWD SUV's carry 1-2 kennels = 1-3 dogs.

I'm satisfied with the answers here and I think verifies my thinking. The Limited Full Time 4wd may well be AWD but there's a little more going on than most other systems.
