I can't say I've had a good experience with them yet, so Saturday morning the gf and I were going to see my parents, all loaded up in the 4runner (2008 sr5 4wd) and the check engine light, and vsc light come on, and the vsc won't go off, it's running a bit rough as well, I recalled filling it up the night before, checked the gas cap, it's on, then recalled watching a segment on Goss's garage on motorweek where he said over filling with interfere with the EVAP system, so I never do, long story short, take it to Toyota to deal with, they give me a Yaris as a loaner, besides that, whatever, take it and go, grab the gf's Tacoma and head to my parents, come monday, they tell me it's the gas cap that failed after they did the smoke test, etc., the part that bothers me, is the service rep tells me it's a $50.00 diagnostic fee, but if you need parts or whatever it goes towards that, they charged $29.00 for the cap, cool, I expected to be fair and pay the $50.00 and be done, well I get a call, your service rep is out, it's going to be $84.00. I told him what I was told, they told me, well normally diagnostic is $70.00, your rep was knew and didn't know, so this is what it is. they are such a bunch of scam artists, every time I am there they are scamming the older customers into work they don't need. it's a real shame.

Well lets all be honest here and start working for free. Or do you enjoy getting money every other week? Its a business just like all others. AND to be honest they shouldn't have even applied the diagnosis charge to your repair. All that does is hurt the technicians pay check. Lets just take a similar situation....you break your ankle...you obviously know your ankle is broken but do they take the price of any of the scans off your bill? No..lets get real people
