Another CV axle question

So I lifted my T4R in December with the SS 1.2 kit and noticed the other day my inner boots seem to be leaking grease. I don't believe they have split completely but I was wondering if there is a way to tighten the boot. I've searched and saw someone use hose clamps but didn't know is that was the best option. Or do I have to replace the whole CV or take them off and reboot them?

You can stretch the boot and use a hose clamp. A good quality hose clamp from West Marine stainless steel will work. Before stretching and putting new clamp, check with your fingers if it's not ripped. If it's ripped you'll need to reboot it.

I am not sure what you mean by this, but I wouldn't be too worried about making sure the hose clamps were all tightened to the same level. Just get them nice and tight.

A clamp shouldn't really throw it of balance. I have hose clamps. Just make sure they are both same on both sides or something. You'll be good

Should I be worried about the amount of grease still in the boots?

That doesn't look that bad, just put a new clamp on. A UV rated zip tie will even work as a short term (or maybe even long term) fix. I would not recommend hose clamps as the vibration could loosen them.

Although keep in mind after even a mild lift, the OEM boots are almost guaranteed to rip within a year as the rubber is already old and weak.
