Another Leveling/Spacer Question

Hello,

So I searched the forums and still kinda confused on how much of a "lift" is required to simply level off my 4Runner. It's a 2011 Limited, has the 20" wheels but want to switch to the 17" if that matters?

I literally just want those cheap $50 spacers, nothing special or extreme, but do I do a 1", 1.5", or 2" in the front? Should I also lift the rear a bit as well?

Bonus, if you're in Canada and can reference a link to Amazon or similar for a spacer that works for you, all the posts I read are of brands not available here.

I'm from Vancouver. I have a 2015 SR5P. I just did Cornfed 1" spacers up front. Ended up with very close to level. I wanted a slight rake and this did it. I think anymore will end up in a reverse rake. Also take into consideration the weight of passengers cargo etc will increase the chances of a reverse rake.

I purchased the 1” cornfed front to put on my 2022, haven’t installed yet. Starting to second guess and think I my go with the same on I had on the 2015 it looked so good with the bilstien 1.75 front and 1” cornfed in rear. And rode like a dream.

I got the Rough Country leveling kit: 1" spacer on front (about 2.5" to 3" lift") and 1" rear. That pretty much levels the 4Runner. All you need is 2" on front to level. Just be sure to get a spacer kit that fits on the top of the front strut, not between the spring and the spring mount. Thus, there is no change in the spring rate or shock travel, and the ride will be the same.

Ride quality and spring rate are not affected by where you put the spacer. Once installed, the spring will be compressed the same amount by the weight of the truck no matter where the spacer is located. No matter where you put the spacer, in effect all you're doing is moving the spring perch.

I had the Daystar level kit and it brought the front up a little too high for my liking. As soon as you use the SUV to haul any load or tow, the front end goes up.

I ended up removing the front spacer and keeping the back lifted as I tow a small camper full-time now.
