Another Lift Thread

Hello everyone! This is my first post of my very own on the forum so why not make it a rather generic one.
I know this is discussed thousands of times throughout this website and I've read through many but I never found anything on this specific situation. So I've owned my 2001 runner for only a few months now with 265/75/r16 tires equipped when I bought it. Since day one my dream plan was always to give the rig a 3" lift and 285 combination. I am planning on installing the lift this summer and then moving up to 285s down the line since the current tires are in pretty good condition.
So here's to the real question; for a lift with the least rake, good ride on the street and offroad, and not making my 265s look tiny would you suggest a spring combination of tundra springs in the front and toytec/eibach in the rear? Or Toytec in the front with LC coils in the rear. Let me hear your opinions.

Toytec/eibach 620 springs with tundra 5100 Bilsteins and Old man Emu springs in rear 890 or 891 whatever you prefer for weight in the rear and 5100 bilsteins in rear you also have to get the diff drop kit very easy to install so your CV angles are gnarly

285/75/16 tires get really close and do rub the upper control arm time to time I'd recommend wheel spacers spidertrax makes pretty nice ones

I've heard that the old man emus give a rough ride when you don't have much weight in the rear, have you had any experience with it? Thanks for the advice btw!

I had 891s on my previous 4runner loved it didn't seem stuff at all and liked the way it rode.
but other people might say different.

I wouldn't make a decision based on your current tires looking small since you're getting bigger later anyway

I had 891s on my previous 4runner loved it didn't seem stuff at all and liked the way it rode.

Alright cool I'm becoming more and more convinced going the emu route. Did you have toytecs in the front when you had this set up? If so how was the level with the rear

Yes toytec/eibach 620 pound springs with tundra 5100 bilstiens

Damn that 4Runner was clean sorry for your loss. So for only hauling around 200 pounds in amps once a week, maybe camping once every couple months, and driving on really crappy roads daily would you or anyone recommend the 891 or 890?

Yeah someone was driving on the wrong side of the road probably drunk and I swerved out of the way so it wasn't head on and went off a Cliff broke 2 of my vertebrae on impact totaled it and of course the other guy kept going
I have just eibach shocks on my current 4runner and air lift bags in the back so I can put my dirt bike on back

Id go 891 just so you always have that extra weight capacity to you disposal If you ever need to and they are the same price so why not get the heavier duty just my thought

Yeah if it's true that the 891s give a half inch greater lift than 890 than I'll use them if I go toytec in the front. If I end up buying tundra coils for the front I'll go 890. Thanks for the help

New question about struts, I'll just continue on this thread. I know this has probably been answered somewhere and I missed it but does anyone know if I'm going to get a diminished ride quality if I buy tundra struts from a scrapyard compared to buying new? Also what is the maximum mileage on used struts that you'd consider buying?
