Another Mag-Lite Mod

Hey guys...I decided to mount my 2 D Cell Mag-Lite in the driver's door bottle holder since I never use it. Just an alternative to mounting it in the cargo area...

I have those brackets too and haven't had time to install them anywhere.

Not Ed but yes, they are Maglite brand clips.

Actually, with a 3-D cell Maglite, I just lay it between the driver's seat and door. Has been fine there for more than 2 years. Easy to get to, never moves.

...until you have to slam on the brakes. Had this happen a long time ago and learned my lesson. The magnetic flashlight held under the seat frame ended up jammed under the pedals in an accident. Just like if you forget your seatbelt, everything should be held down (somehow) in a moving vehicle or it is a potential projectile (remember stuff in the open cargo area.)

My 3 cell maglite is in the bottom mesh holder on the back of the driver's seat now. I bought the clips a few months ago but never installed them because I can't find a good place to put it and the mesh pocket works fine for now.

The 3 cell is definitely harder to find a place for. I also thought about putting it in the same place as Noloc's umbrella (panel on the left side of the driver's seat where the power lumbar switch is), but it looked like it would be a tight fit when you close the door.

Would velcro attached to the Maglite hold it to the carpet?

I have tried to use velcro to attach things to the carpet in the back without too much success- just doesn't stick too well

Actually, it's never happened despite slamming on the brakes multiple times. But thanks for the warning!
