How are you calculating?

Honestly, I drive pretty hard and still average 18+ with 265/75's.

Hi there, just wondering how you calculate your mpg. And are uyou using u.s. Gallons or imperial. Because I get about 15 us mpg which is about 19 or 20 imperial mpg. Thanks!!

I wanted to update on my earlier post now that I have been tracking my last several fillups with mileage meter. Very suprised by my results, never cleaned the MAF, not sure will really see an improvement if I do.... This is all pretty much about 80% highway, very light traffic if any, cruising between 70MPH and 75MPH

6/9/2010 21.51
6/12/2010 19.11
6/16/2010 20.69
6/21/2010 20.45
6/26/2010 19.55
7/1/2010 21.16

That's what I've been getting my last few tanks Soap. I cleaned the MAF, changed the plugs, then when I had the A/C fixed the mechanic cleaned the MAF again. After that I started seeing an improvement.

New update on my fuel mileage. after I change my spark plugs, wires, timing belt, and water pump. I was able to obtain 20.5mpg avg with my roof basket and brush guard installed.

I'm going to see what kind of fuel mileage I could get with my roof basket and brush guard off..... updates soon

I drive a good mix of hwy and city (mostly suburbia) and I've neber seen a diff in MPGs with or without my basket on the roof but I figure if it was all hwy driving a basket might show a small decrease.

Cruise Control doesn't really help mpg.

UH yea it does.

Go get you a scan gauge and watch the TPS monitor as you drive with your foot.

Then put look at your trip MPG using the pedal vs using cruise controll.

Cruise controll is more consistent than using your foot. common knowledge

Consistancy = effeciency

My driving includes mostly hwy driving. Something like 85% hwy and 15% city.
So it might make a different. But I guess I will find out soon. Im going to take off my basket tomorrow to test my mpg and start wiring lights to my basket.

I'm avg. 20 mpg 50/50 city hwy. stock everything.

Got 17 mpg with 2 people and gear for the weekend plus 2 kayaks on top. one way was tailwind and sunny, the way back was rainy with strong headwind.

That's where I was....

That's about where I was until I did my 60K spark plug change last weekend. My display was telling me I averaged 23+ mpg. It's pretty accurate. I was getting 400 miles per tank. Mostly highway driving, of course. Since the spark plug change, It reads just over 19 mpg. I've read of others having that problem. I think my issue is the computer. Anyone know how to reset it? My moon roof, driver's window and rear window don't operate like they did before either? Are there settings I can modify or is it a stealership thing?
