I've searched this forum and others from top to bottom, but none of the previously described noises appears to be familiar. So, if anyone can shed some light on the issue, it would be much appreciated.

It is a "soft clunk" that appears to be coming from the driver's side rear. No vibration, no other "bearing-like" noises, no drivability issues. It has been doing this for a few years, so I am not necessarily worried about it, but I would like to track it down and stop it simply because it is bugging me.
So far I have recently:
1. Replaced the rear upper and lower control arms. They were getting "spongy" and needed to be replaced anyhow. Replaced the shocks. Replaced the springs. Replaced the swaybar endlinks and bushings. I've tightened and retightened. NO change before and after.
2. The driveshaft and U-joints are regreased every few months. NO changes.
3. It can only be heard at less than 10mph, especially when entering and exiting the driveway, and the like. So, it's not like there is a lot of suspension articulation or lateral axle movement. But it definitely is coming from the driver's side rear. Confirmed by my passengers.
4. I have had the rear jacked up, there does not appear to be "play" in the axles or bearings when jiggled. Everything appears pretty solid.
5. It appears to be a solid, low-pitched clunk, more like something relatively heavy, that perhaps only the weight of the vehicle can make happen.
6. It does not appear to be a high-pitched sound made by small parts like bolts or brake parts.
7. If you can use your imagination, it sounds as if something under tension lets loose and shifts slightly.
