Another new member ('05 Sport--(Anyone want my hood/scoop?)

Finally took the plunge and got an '05 Sport 4WD V8, Salsa. That $4000 rebate was too good to pass up.

I think we are firmly in the minority here, but my wife and I do not care for the hood scoop. Anyone want to swap?

We've been shopping for a few months and have gone back and forth between '05-'06 and V6-V8. We decided on a SR5 that the dealer was going to trade for, but then found out it had 8k miles on it! We then found the Sport.

We had also shopped the Xterra and Pathfinder. The Pathfinder was nice, but the interior seemed liked it belonged in a $20k car and not a $30k vehicle. The ride also seemed much smoother and quieter in the 4R.

Now I have to start researching audio upgrades!

I'm sure you'll have no problem finding someone to swap hoods with you..... most people love the hoodscoop. The only problem is that you have a very rare color.

We also don't like the hoodscoop. So when we purchased our vehicle (sport model), we did a deal with the dealer, who exchanged it for us. Somebody else ended up buying a base-model 4runner with a "free" hoodscoop! And we got ours with a plain hood.

^^ Wow, that's pretty cool of the stealership to do that. Wish I could have done the same, I personally don't like the scoop. Anybody looking for a silver sport hood?
