Howdy, Im new here...and should be doing one of my three assignments but instead I am finding everything other than my assignments to be doing....
Just thought I would introduce myself. Im Beth, and I have a 1985 4runner. I love it to pieces, but the love is getting kinda expensive. I have a $1200 list of things to do to her to get her through rego this year, none of which will fix the 100% interior water coverage when it rains (I thought it was just the passenger side, but then I lifted up the back seats and its pooled, and I got into the back and the carpet is sopping !) Or the back window that never EVER works, or the driver door that doesn't open, the windows that don't wind up, continual topping up of oil, or the leak into the fuse box which cuts power to the wipers in rain, etc etc...
She would have been an insanely cool car back in the day, and still is.
Somedays I think I should just give in, buy a newer car that works... but then I drive past another 4runner that has been given a new life and us drivers smile and wave at each other, and it makes my day !! It is like having a whole other family, one that nobody knows about - but you always have something in common.
Haha, call me stupid - but I never want another car !
I just need a rich man that will deck her out, replace and fix everything...and life will be sweet
PS if anyone has any tips on the above problems...I am REALLY interested in knowing how to fix them, thanks.
