Another OME/Toytec lift installed!

Well, the process took about 5 hours total doing it solo. The hardest part was tightening down rear shock bolts (wrong socket depth) and getting LCA low enough to get the lower shock bolt through. I tried the bottle jack method, but the CV was in the way and I couldnt get the bolt around it. I then supproted the UCA, spindle, rotor with a 4x4 and dropped the LCA. Worked pretty good doing it that way.

Damage done:
- Small dent in fender from my head when the lug wrench slipped. (ouch)
- Somewhat stripped sway bar end link

Total cost:
OME 881/890, OME sport shocks x 4, Toytec TO spacers, diff drop, and shipping was $736. Shop I ordered them through was cool and installed the coils for free. They will be aligning today for $60.

All in all was easier than I thought. Also did the diff drop. Still need to figure out how to get the factory skids to bolt up

Nice pictures. Most diff drop kits come with longer bolts and spacers to install your skid plate. This is still a pain in the ass but it does work. If those did not come included it wouldn't be too hard to find some of the same pieces at your local hardware store.

Yea, I wasnt quite clear where those spacers go. The instructions say they go on the rear skid, but it looks like they could go on the second set of mounts on the front skid?

I dunno. I was in a hurry and didnt have time to mess with it yesterday.

The spacers go on the rear bolts of the front skid. At least thats where I put them to clear the diff bolts!

Looks good!! Those were the TRD Tundra rims I was about to buy but it was sold before I got to it. Glad to see someone tried it out! Are you running 285s? they look good with that amount of lift

Yea, the rims were in pretty good shape but one had some scratches from the weights. Only paid $150 for them so it was a good deal.

No, the tires are actually 265/75's. Considered 285's after the lift was on, we'll see.

Got the skids mounted up. I trimmed the front one a little and used the spacers on the rear mounts. I also made my own little spacers for the rear skidplate to drop it down 3/8" or so.
