Don't worry california communist voters, you deserve everything that you are experiencing. You can blame it on climate change or whatever that makes you sleep well at night, but the reality is, most of the fires out there, the rolling blackouts, the crappy roads, the high taxes, is the result of you...the communist voter, voting for insane bills and taxes all in the name of saving the environment, but which has the exact opposite effect in most cases.

I get your frustration, I really doo! It's frustrating for sure. Amazing how many want to destroy the opportunities they have been given. But thats human nature. I believe you can't operate a red sticker motorcycle in Kalifornia during certain months of the year. Anybody know that for sure? Seems like I read that somewhere.

If anyone is curious what the real damage is from mining on public land looks like - I really didn't fully understand it until I lived in Utah. I drove a Tesla once. The technology takes some getting used to. But the acceleration is like being in a rocket ship. I wouldn’t mind if a new version of the 4Runner had a little of that.

I completely agree. And the next generation of 4Runner has to, or it will be the last generation of 4Runner. Anyone who doesn't provide EV type performance will not survive until the next generation. And there's really no other way to do it.

A lot of people laughed at the early EVs - until a grocery getter family sedan could run 3 second 0-60's. And then a rav4 could do a mid 5 second 0-60. It won't be that long before conversions to EV become standardized for older vehicles too. My LC40 would be absolutely bonkers with mid mounted Tesla drive system and 100kwh battery pack. I don't think the day that I can afford to do it is that far off.

Holy crap. All those little pock marks on the google map are pads for oil drilling sites? What a mess. And in the middle of it all is the BLM-managed Fantasy Canyon. Described on their website as “... about 10 acres in size, it contains some of the most unique geologic features in the world.” At least there’s no drilling in the canyon, yet.
