I've noticed that Hondas seem to hold up better against rust compared to Toyotas.

I've noticed that Hondas seem to hold up better against rust compared to Toyotas.

Hell, my 25 year old VW Golf most definitely holds up better when it comes to undercarriage and brake system rust than my 2004 4Runner.
FYI, yes I live in the northeast and yes I wash my 4Runner. My Golf has lived it's whole life in this area also.

I am betting in a few years Toyota will be addressing the 4th gen 4Runner undercarriage rust issue.
