Another school shooting in Littleton

Fortunatly the 2 who were shot are alive and they have the shooter in custody.

Good thing the shooter is caught but what is up with those kids up there?

This time it was a 32 year old male doing the shooting and the Platte Canyon my HS) shooter was even older.

Being from Littleton and having super close connections to columbine(and have gone there) it really is annoying and pathetic another shooting happened. Its not anyones fault I just think the community is over this nonsense and its making our town look aweful..who wants to take thier kid to a Littleton school ya know? Im glad it was not as bad as it could of turned out and hope the kiddos are doing well and all recover.

It was only the 2nd shooting in Littleton and this one had very different circumstances than Columbine and I think people know a shooting can happen anywhere so I don't think people are worried about their kids any more or any less than anywhere else in the US.

The weird thing about most of these shootings is that they seem to happen in places where it is illegal to carry a gun (church, shopping mall, school, college/university, hospital, park, anti-gun cities, etc., etc.); and the perpetrator is virtually guaranteed defenseless, unarmed victims as prey.

Unfortunately, such tragic incidents often encourage "emotional" responses and further infringement on Second Amendment rights through 'gun control' schemes. On the contrary, you seldom hear of any violent outbursts in places where most everyone is armed. Comparatively, I believe there are very few shootings at gun shows, where quite a few folks (gun dealers, police officers, etc.) are carrying firearms.

:iagree: there was a recent shooting in a church where two young teens were shot by other teens.

IMO, gun control laws doesn't stop the violence, it only affects the ones that are carrying legally and abiding by the laws. Criminals don't play by the same set of rules.

But all had very differing circumstances and they happen all over the world. There's violence in inner city schools that goes unreported by the media but when it happens in a whitebread town it makes national news. There also was that mall shooting in minnesota (?),the amish school shooting and at VT and over in europe there's been a few so it's just a widespread problem.

guns don't kill people, people do. Yes I know this statement been around but it just is so true.
politicians need to legalize guns and state attorneys need to makes sure to put those criminals away for life if the death penalty is not an option.

Shootings


As time goes on and more states adopt some type of "concealed carry" laws, people are realizing that 'more guns on the streets' is not necessarily a bad thing; so long as those guns are in the right hands.

First of all, "gun control" schemes do nothing but assure a criminal that his victims will be unarmed (and thus defenseless).

Second, criminals do not obey "gun control" laws - just as they disregard other laws we have against murder, rape, robbery, burglary, etc. They'll ignore laws that prohibit them from carrying - and they'll benefit from a safer work environment because the good guys won't be armed.

Finally, statistics (true ones - not doctored figures) are now showing that places with more guns per capita are experiencing less crime. Areas where more law-abiding citizens own & carry guns are actually safer. Imagine that!

The anti-gun statists are cutching at straws and trying to come up with just about any ridiculous argument or theory so as to keep up their anti-self defense agenda; even though their "facts" are disproven time and time again by the real world. Ever notice how the anti-gun folks never have punishment of criminals as a goal? They're usually the first ones to hold a candle light vigil when the state seeks to execute a cold-blooded murderer on death row.
