Another Scion Install!!!

Just wanted to thank all that posted information on this mod! Just finished the install and all I can say is WoW! For 85 bucks and 45min. you just can't go wrong! The stock HU is really just junk. And all the steering wheel controls work to boot!!!

Hey, what type of speakers you upgrade to? Amp added or just the Scion HU?
Took me a few times to change the message on the display though. Now I have to get rid of my XM wireless modulator from my SkyFi2 and go with the plug in modutaor adaptor that I believe plugs into the back of the HU.
The Scion really shows how bad the wireless mod sounds when switching to CD or FM.

Go to scionlife.com thats were I found the radio in their classified section. I tried ebay but I swear I bid against cheaters! I always lost at the last second!
And same for me... my magnaflow should be in within a few days then I'm done...I think...

Maybe upgraded speakers, definitely bigger rubber!

I believe so but you would have to "search" Scion in the audio section. I saw it within a thread but I believe there is an adaptor that plugs into the back of the HU.

Bluto, it is a single. 6 disc would be around 200. I couldn't justify the 120 bucks. Thats going toward the magnaflow. 1 disc can hold 100+ songs in mp3 format. That plus xm and I couldn't see the need for a 6 disc. Just my dime...

I got my Scion headunit off ebay for $45. I guess I was lucky.

I got my Scion 6CD from ebay for $170. I felt it was worth the extra $$ because now I don't have to deal with my IPOD anymore since I can fit over 500 songs across the 6 disks. I also considered that the extra cost is less than the PIE adapter.
