Another speaker question

I am thinking about getting a set of MB Quart Reference RCE 269s. I would like to install them in my '03 T4R. They are 6x9 plus the tweeter. They will be powered from a single disc Scion HU. Will the 6x9s fit and will the HU power the speakers adequately?
Any opinions will be appreciated.

Most HU (atleast aftermarket ones) pump out about 20w rms..most factory head units pump out less than 10.

If your looking at MB Quart's i would defintley look at getting a 4 channel amplifier, since they generally pump out 50w rms x4 (generally..for the ones that are like $200)

The headunit will power them, but they will not power them to their max potential by any means. You will get sound, it will be clear, but it won't be nearly as good a it would with an amp attached.

That makes sense. Not sure if I want to spring for an amp just yet. The Scion made the sound much better with the stock speakers. The MB Quart have pretty good sensitivity so hopefully they'll be an improvement.

Now I just hope they will fit. Only doing the fronts right now.

You can almost always get speakers to fit wether it be by building brackets or filing some of the door panel down...get creative and it will work. Good luck.
