Tire Rating System
So just for fun and for anyone who is looking at tires like I am, I took the popular all-terrain tire options listed in this thread that are available at tirerack.com and created a points system. I did this so anyone who uses the search bar for tires could not only use the opinions formulated by our members, but also the ratings at tirerack in one thread. Keep in mind depending on what one desires in the quality of a tire makes these ratings variable to a large degree. This is meant to be a generic rating based on reviews. The reviews will be listed below and then placed into a point system which will be explained and used later. Prices are via tirerack and don not include installation charges. These reviews are based on, to the best of my knowledge, consumer reports and are in no way from personal experience. Hopefully this will help others in the future.
The ratings are as follows from Tirerack.

Best Bang for your buck...?
OffRoad: Probably the General Grabber AT2 because if you bust your sidewall on a rock, it won't cost an arm and a leg to fix it.
On road: Pick one. These ratings are based off of on road performance anyway, and they are speculative because ride quality is often determined by each individual, because there is no computer program to determine this.
*Keep in mind some tires will weigh more than others, resulting in a slight gas mileage decrease.*
There is also a plethora of other tire types on the market. The tires listed above were just the ones listed on the website that are common here. Nitto AT, Cooper AT3, and Falken WildPeak AT tires are also very common and generally highly regarded.
Please no one be offended by this rating system. It uses a system based upon ratings at tire rack that I put a numerical value to. If you have any of these tires that were rated "lower" and love them, I'm glad. This is just based off of reviews that are in a numeric value and accessible. It is potentially flawed as well due to the number of reviewers varying with each tire.
