Another tire thread

I know the tire subject has been exhausted around here, but I have a specific question. Has anyone had the opportunity to drive a 4th gen 4Runner with Revos AND Michelin Cross Terrains? If so, how much difference did you notice in the on-road handling and noise? I have a 2wd and rarely go offroad, so if I get the Revos it will purely be for looks. I'm just trying to decide how much sacrifice I'll be making to performance, and if it will be worth it.

Thanks

Not much to add...but have you consider the Goodyear Fortera with SilentArmor?? It's probably just as good as Michelin CT's, but they are stronger (more puncture resistance).

Nope, I hadn't seen them until now. I just checked them out at Tirerack, and they look pretty good. I noticed that they don't come in 265/65-17 though (which is probably why I missed them). I guess that would put me back in the whole 65 vs 70 debate.

Thanks for the recommendation, definitely something to consider.

I too was debating the 65 vs 70 and decided that I did not want spend for the 5 wheel since 4 will already cost me almost $700. I'll use the dunflop as a spare. I am getting the Revo's for $155 in my area.
