Another towing report (2007 V8 Limited)

I did a towing report a few months back with my 2005 4runner Sport V8, and now reporting again with the new 4runner with the rear air suspension. That system is really slick. I'm towing my girlfriends 16' horse trailer loaded usually with just one horse. The old 4runner would squat quite a bit making the ride feel unstable with the weight being taken off the front of the truck. The self levelling suspension made it ride perfectly level and made it feel much more stable. The ride was also a lot less bouncy...I was very impressed. I'm going to enjoy having it for now, but I'm a little worried about when it breaks!

The power and stopping ability is amazing as well. I love the new 5th gen. 4runner but I wouldn't be able to give up my V8. It just coasted along at 2000rpm without gear hunting at 90km/h.

I wanted to take a picture but it was pitch black out. I'll try and take one next time.

That's great to hear.... the air suspension was a key factor in my deciding on the Limited V8... not to mention simply having the V8 and extra torque for towing purposes... though my trailer is parked for the winter so it will be awhile before i get to test it all out. :moping:


Edit to Add: The air suspension is also one of the features I love showing off to others... watching it raise and lower.
