HELP!! I installed a Clarion cx501. All speakers, power, LED dimming etc is working fine. However, when i turn on the headlights, the A/C control lights dont come on. Also no dome light. Most importantly, I cant get the power antenna to work. i tried both the remote wire and the power antenna wire by them selves and also together to the new head units "remote power antenna" wire with no luck...

do you know what your doing? not trying insult or anything. take all the wires off and make sure they have a good connection. i just put a double din in mine and when stuffing it in to screw it in one wire came out and make it all not work.
Mybe I posted a little early...I havent completely secured the unit in the dash so it could be a ground issue. I do know what im doing. I have installed several HU's just was surprised with the factory amp. I wanted to make sure everything was working, before i shrinked tubes the wires, also i was waiting for an amp and sub. Theres a few other things that puzzle me as well. The factory blue/yellow wire i supposed to be a constant 12v and theres no power coming from it. Just thought someone might have had same issues. I mean the light in the a/c button comes on but not the lights right next to is dont, just a little puzzled. rechecking connections today with the amp/sub install...

I would start basic by checking your fuses.
and the amp should be a non-issue, most Toyota products (not quite all but most) have the amp plugging into the same plugs that any head unit with out an external amplifier plugs into. In other words once you unplug and remove the head unit and factory amp, you are left with the same two plugs that every Toyota has. Plug your aftermarket harness in, and match the wire colors to your aftermarket deck. Can't get much easier.
