I finally got my 4runner. Silver 08 sport. I will post photos soon. My ? is about anti lock breaks. Last night i was on a back country road,windy,hilly- just great for the sport model. I came to an cross road, they had a stop sing I did not. My Speed 75mph (I know but the 4runner was performing great) I had to hit the breaks hard. Tries howled and then anti lock started to throb. There seemed to be a seconded delay enough to make inertial force forward,elevate my back end. all was well but is there a monitory delay in the system??

You probably activated the brake assist on your 4R, and didn't keep hard pressure on the pedal. Brake assist senses how fast you take your foot off the gas and hit the brakes, and will apply full braking force for you before you can. However, if you're caught off guard and don't keep applying pressure, the system can give that momentary letting go of the brakes.
