Antman's DRL mod - 2016

Hey there folks,
Any fast help would be appreciated as I have the dash/console torn apart at the moment. Was about to splice wires but I thought I better ask before I get in trouble.
I am following some of the mods Antman did and others but this mod in particular http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/92013-antmans-thread-20.html#post907798

I notice on his mod as he notes to tap the light green wire / 5th wire from the bottom on the F11 plug. From what my strained eyes can see on his pic red, light blue, pink, dark green, light green. Light green wire being the wire to ground out.

On my 2016 Trail Premium from the bottom of the same connector it is the same with...well without the light green wire. In fact the light green wire socket in the connector is empty. I would take a picture however my phone took a hard hit on the garage floor and is toast.

I read someone's thread (pardon, too much searching) the DRL is different I think, 2013 or 14 it may have changed, being the high beams run low for DRLs.

Can the DRL mod be done on a 2016? If so which magic wire to tap?
Any help would be great as my soldering iron is smoking away right now.
Thanks!!!

Thanks for the reply! Not quite looking for that, opposite actually. Antman modded his for his DRL's to be on full time without having to use the stalk, basically grounding out the light green wire. i want to do the same. The wire is not there so not sure if on a 14+ if we can mod the DRL to be on full time without having to use the stalk.

Not trying to be a smart ass, but why not just return the stalk back to DRL after using headlights?

I like the look of the DRLs and probably a tiny bit of a safety thing so would like them to be just on, not having to remember each time I start the car to turn the stalk in the morning, etc. Hope that makes sense.

When turning off your headlights, don't turn completely off, stop at DRL. No need to go to the fully off position. The DRL's turn off when you shut the engine off, it's OK to leave the switch in DRL position when headlights are not in use.

This is what I do. I have also found that you can just leave the headlights on and when you turn the car off, yes it beeps at you, but if you get out and lock the truck with the fob, the headlights will go out. Then when you get back in the car, and started up, the headlights are back on.
Something to consider.
I generally run with the DRL's on all day.

I apologize, I misread what you wrote and assumed you wanted them disabled. Instead of modding I think the best route would be to do what mike533 and High_Country suggested above.

Hopefully this doesn't come off as smart ass as it isn't intended to; I do know how to use the stalk and do keep it on the DRL when I think about it. Grounding out the wire just seemed a no brainer when I had the car torn apart.
From what I can see this isn't possible any longer.
