Don't worry - Chrome will make a HUGE comeback very soon IMO. History repeats itself :artist2:
TBH - I like the chrome accents on my black '13 SR5. I believe the base color has a lot to do with chrome's overall appeal. About all I'd change on my black SR5 is making the rear-hatch's "4RUNNER" logo chrome but color-matching (black in my case) the rest of the plastic chrome surround (seen 1 or 2 like that - most people plasti-dip the entire piece, "4RUNNER" logo and all - I don't like that look TBH), and swapping in the sweet "TOYOTA" emblem up-front in lieu of the stock oval emblem on the grille.

I like the clean look of the Canadian SR5 color matched ones .mikeys handles Too bad they don't fit LE's because of the touch sensor.I might get some and make them work!

Speaking of, how the heck would I black out the handles. Has anybody done that before on an LE without messing up the touch lock/unlock.

I went with E because of all the recommendations and personal experiences on this forum. Many many people had balancing issues with the C. Plus, I tow my boat weekly so I can justify the beefier tire.
Damn! It's pretty bad when " The Man" starts ragging on me! I have some ideas for the door handles- I do like the color matching though.

It all started like this:

Anyhoo, late congrats, the new combo looks great, and I agree; caps off.

I pretty much decided that I'm going to run my new wheels without the center caps. That left some nasty looking rust visible on the rear axles and around the face of the brake rotors. I cleaned everything up and gave it all a fresh coat of Rustoleum in satin black.
What a world of difference!
Before and after pics...
Much better.
Oh yeah- I also got a F/E alignment this morning and had the caster angle changed per Harper7's recommendation. They didn't quite get to "4" but the Tech said it was close (I forgot to get the printout.). Tracks and centers much better. Thank you Gary!
Next up will be 5100's all the way around and it'll be like a new, new truck.:wave:

Cheapest, and IMO the best. ArmorAll Tire Foam:
I spray it on and let it sit for about 5 minutes. Then I wipe it down with a microfiber wash mitt to make everything even and reduce "tire sling".
I also spray the wheel wells and suspension down with tire foam- makes everything look brand spanking new!

At which point is it recommended to modify the caster? New wheels? New Tires? after the truck is stolen? (kidding)

The truck tracks much better with the caster changed, so if the wandering bothers you get it done right away. Otherwise just wait until you need an alignment, which I usually do every time I get tires.
I thought after your truck gets stolen you're supposed to convert it to a TE? :thumb:
