any 3rd gen owners have 33" BFG M/T KM2's

im looking for new tires. i was planing on the cooper stt in the 285 75 size, but after going wheelin w some friends that had the MT KM2's, im freakin convinced these tires are awesome. they have 1st gen 4runners, so i wanted to see if any of you 3rd gen guys have any input on how they ride/rub/sound/wear

You're not gonna regret with the KM2's, although these are my first Mud tires I can attest to their superiority on the road but most importantly when wheeling. Road noise is not unbearable..I actually like hearing the hum but the more they wear the less you'll hear it. Mine are pretty brand new so I don't notice any visible wear just yet. As far as rubbing, right now nothing..

For looks and performance it's really something to consider. Check out my build thread in my Sig to see some photos of the KM2.

exactly what i wanted/expected to hear. SWEET. see ya later Cooper St's, movin on to better things....


i just remember seeing those things fold and mold around the rocks when they were aired down. it was amazing what they went over/through, and how easy it was for them.

I really like my 285/75 NTG's but my next set of tires is going to be the KM2's in 255/85.

ok....fair enough, i actually though about that size too...but, im a little weary of the "squirellyness" on the highway. i travel not a whole lot, but am on the interstate quite a bit. i know they would prob be better as far as gas mileage goes just cause they are skinnier (and those tall skinnys look pretty sick too), but im just a little scared about the control on the road @ 70mph. which i try never to go over.

Well I run around between 70-75 on the interstate and I average 30k a year on my truck. They are only 1.25 narrower then the 285's. I really doubt there would be any additional squirelyness. out of them. Either way I think you will be very happy as mentioned.
