any dirt roads / trails in the South Bay?

I don't even have a 4runner yet, but planning ahead....

I will try to get up the Sierras etc. to do some exploring, but there will be times when my schedule doesn't allow me to leave the bay for a few months on end. Are there any dirt roads or trails in the South Bay to simply drive a few miles and engage 4wd and other 4x4 systems to keep things lubed? Hopefully Hollister isn't the only thing.

Hollister hills is likely the closest to Southbay.

Hollister hills is the only place in the south bay that's 1hr 7 min (62 miles) away from SJ.

Closer if you're in Gilroy or Morgan Hill. Frank Raines OHV Park is the next closest at 59 miles but 1h 47 min (due to windy roads).

If you're in Concord you could always go to Prairie City which is in Rancho Cordova.


I'm just happy I'm not in SF or the North bay because then it'd be a REAL drive to Hollister.
