I was more of a Sharks fan but now I think they are a lost cause so I'll root for any team from California.

I'm a huge Pens fan and that's why I'm rooting for the Rangers. Figure if you're going to lose to a team, it might as well be the team that goes on to win it all.

Yes to LA. A town that couldn't give 2 shits about hockey and is more concerned with who the new Lakers coach will be. Ain't that a pisser! :first::caked:

Predators fan here. Not much to cheer about though. I'm not big into hockey but enjoy watching them when they are on our regional sports channel. Been to a game before. They are much better in person than on TV, a great experience.

That was one heck of a killer game no matter who you were rooting for!
Sort of random, but a few weeks ago (during the Kings/Blackhawks series) I was in LA visiting a friend. Him and his wife have "family" dinner with a few of their neighbors and their respective fams every Sunday. Well, this guy walked in the door who looked like your typical Socal bro. Stocky, flat brimmed hat etc etc. Surprised me when he spoke because he was clearly Canadian. He also had this crazy contraption hooked to his knee and then to a cooler that he was dragging behind him. Well, we chatted for a while about Canada and various places (ends up we had a bunch of mutual friends in the same places) and he was a super cool dude. Finally asked him what he does for work in LA and that's when I find out I've been talking to Robyn Regehr the whole time! So, while I was rooting for the Rangers, there was a small part of me that wanted to see him win the cup.
Plus, I wouldn't have just gotten this pic texted to me. That's my friends daughter sitting inside the cup.

I know we are only 10-12 games into the season so far. As HUGE hockey fan, and not a bandwagon fan. Yes I survived the 90's and the Dollar Bill Wurtz years. I would like to say GO HAWKS!!

Hockey was the only sport I played growing up, I love the game, I've always been a Blackhawks fan but in the past I followed it but didn't watch it. I didn't watch a hockey game (except live in person) for probably 10 years. Then during the last winter olympics and it was on and I watched it... that was the first time I had ever seen a hockey game in HD and you actually tell what was happening and where the puck was, no more blurry feed, no more blue streak that is trying to follow the puck, it was like watching it live with full commentary and I loved it. I haven't turned it off since.
