CO Pheasant opener went well! More birds in Eastern CO than I've seen in quite some time!!! We had fun!

Are those birds edible?

Oh yes, quite edible!!! :hungry: And they don't taste like chicken...

They have a lot more flavor than most people are used to in poultry. They're about the size of chickens. Hard to describe the flavor if you haven't eaten it before. Closest thing I can think of you might have eaten would be Ostrich.

They look nutritious. I'd like to try one of those birds. Yes they're beautiful birds. Are they hard to catch them alive?

Whitetail, hogs, and the occasional coyote. Shot a decent 8 point opening weekend with a .270 Savage.

VERY!!! They can run almost as fast as a dog, and they fly at about 60 MPH or better when startled.

That is, of course, what a shotgun is for! :hunter:

I got a little 6 pointer last weekend here in Missouri. Spine shot it at about hundred yards. I always feel bad when I do that but at least there's no tracking job!

Im an avid bowhunter and just killed a 140 lb doe this past Monday in Louisiana... I also gun hunt to but theres nothing like bowhunting... I shoot a PSE compound bow btw. Theres nothing like literally standing right above a deer in your bow-stand. just absolutely love it!
