Any inherent issues with the 4wd v8 ?

I know the 3rd gen had issues with the lower ball joints and possible “pink milkshake” problems which I addressed by making mods before they failed.
Im hoping to make changes / repairs to my 05 v8 limited 4wd with 120,000 before they become catatastrophic
I do have the header leak which Ive been in contact with Doug thorley and I already removed the xreas and rear airbag suspension.

They fixed the ball joint issue on the 4th gens by changing the design.

make sure the electric actuator on the transfer case works for 4lo and 4wd. engage them regularly to keep them running. the actuator box on the back of the tcase does not do well at keeping moisture out and the little electric motors rust and seize or rust and stop working.

The manifolds are fairly notorious for getting cracks in them. The cats are built into them so they are pricey to replace.
