Any late 3rd Gen'ers reading tranny temps with EngineLink AND an Iphone?

2002 Sport owner here. I've got an OBDII dongle inserted, bought it on Amazon.

Works great for my Solara combined with DashCommand. But now I want to use it in my T4R for tranny temps when I pull my popup camper. It didn't connect initially and wants me to set subnet masks, etc, but the screen shot tutorial on the EngineLink App looks nothing like my current iOS operating system.

If anyone is actually using EngineLink with an iphone (mine's an 8 Plus) I'd appreciate some help.

just swipe right to left all the way and you should have a blank screen , you can add different types of displays on that blank screen.

Just press and hold on the blank screen and the menu will appear

Just got this from the EngineLink Help Desk... Great people btw.

This is for my 2002 T4R Sport. Seemed to work, and when I get home I'll know for sure.


You can create a custom pid by long press on custom screen->select gauge->click on “Edit” -> click on “+”, then follow the instructions to enter the following information step by step:

Header:0

ModeAndPID: 2182

Formula: ((((A*256)+B) * (7/100) – 400)/10)

Min: 0

Max: 300

Unit: °F

Description: Transmission Temp

Thanks for the data. It’s PID 01B4 for tranny temp on my 02, using an iPhone.
