Does anyone have a rough overall weight on either the 7/8 or full rack? Trying to figure out some rear coil stuff.

About 70 pounds for the full rack, 60 for the 7/8.

Installed my LFD roof rack last weekend. Painted all the bolts black and I love it. Although I bought it for looks, I now want to throw a kayak on it since we have some nice lakes around here. Do you guys think a good ratchet strap set will hold a kayak down on this rack? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

I think it really depends on the kayak... My base model Pelican Kayak really needs a cradle or something to mount against to make it stay in place since the hull deflects so much.

I have the 3/4 rack and love it. I just wish I would have went with the full rack now that it’s on the vehicle and I have seen a full rack on a runner
