Any Mountain Bikers on Here?

That is wide! I now have the urge to join mtb forums and start asking what the largest tire I can fit on a stock frame without rubbing.

I have a chart over there too lol. Not really.

See, I modded 4WD's back in the day before it became the hip thing to do. Now I enjoy the hell out of my stock 4Runner and mod the hell out of my mountain bike! I read a post about 4Runners in the 5th gen forum and think "If they only knew my mountain bike shocks cost more than those Bilsteins!

Slapped the saddle this afternoon...just loggin' miles and blowin' corporate stress...cooked-off the hill hittin' 35.8 MPH heh heh

Just replaced my 13 year old Intense with this (insane how much mountain bike technology has developed during that time):

Just a quick update and thanks to all who responded RE: question about wife's seat troubles. I adjusted her seat back about 1", with same very slight forward tilt (nose down).

We finally got out between rain showers for a quick 10 mile flat surface ride, and she did not have any of the same issues she was having. Said she felt good afterwards, which she could NOT have said before.

I think with her longer legs, she must have been sitting weird due to being a little too far forward. I asked if she had any extra pressure on her arms/shoulders from the revised position, and she said no.

For now all seems good, but if she starts having any pain again I'll drop the dough and take her and her bike in for a professional to fit her.

so im picking up a free bike rack this week, its some type of thule 4 bike rack. has anyone taken their truck on the trails with the bike rack on the truck? thinking im going to cut it down to a 1 or 2 bike rack and malk it fit close to the truck so its not as likely to hit things off road

If it's the tray style rack, it may have a 2 bike add-on that you can remove without any cutting. If it's the type where they hang from the top tube, it will be up high and shouldn't cause any issues.

its the arm style from what i can tell. i will likely have to chop part of the receiver because my tire is not the stock size under the truck. i have a 4 bike folding yakima so this is going to be cut to the liking of my truck to try and cut down on space not used as i only need to fit 1 or 2 bikes and it does not fold at the arms only the bottom. i have tried looking online but have not seen anyone cut down a bike rack

here is my rack and what im doing to it. total coast so far is $10 for new straps

Might be a dumb question, but is that going to be enough length to clear the hatch with pedals and handlebars?

rack is all done, ready for the trails. have a few more changes to do but thats most of it. pulled it in 6 inches from where it was
