I recently bought a Blade 350 QX quad helicopter for aerial filming its about 1000 bucks setup I got just the heli for $550 and attached my own go pro camera. I flew two 10 minutes flights after the 2nd flight I went to put in a new battery and it wouldn't even turn on i looked online and they said most likely the mother board or central control circuit is fried. Im pretty sure this thing is defective but hobby town usa has a horrid return policy I don't know what to do thinking about driving my 4runner through the front doors if they don't exchange it tomorrow, probably going to buy another one and then dispute the charge with my bank! I don't know how something can short out of 20 minutes of use and i didn't crash it....the 20 minutes i did get to fly were amazing

I paid cash I was thinking about going and buying a replacement on a card and getting a charge back or cancellation i bank with golden 1 can I do that

Can you? Possibly. Is it legal? Probably not.

Word of caution... if the retailer logs the S/N with the sale this could come back to bite you in the arse.

This is why I make 99% of my purchases on my card, even though I typically pay it off each month. Cash just doesn't have the same benefits. The only reason to use cash is if there's a cash discount imo.

have you done the dime mod to prevent fly-aways?

you are absolutely right, on point! Well I called the Manufacture Blade and told them my issues after waiting on hold for over an hour and finally speaking with a tech! after about 20 minutes of trouble shooting through the phone they asked me to return to Hobbytown USA so their tech could trouble shoot the quad copter they couldn't find anything wrong not even a scratch so they opted to "swap out" my qx 350 for a new one! Because the manufacture said they would swap hobby town out for a defective model. So they overnighted a new model yesterday and I should have it in a few more hours I can't wait to fly again and Im glad I didn't have to purchase another one!

The version I bought wast the Blade 350 qx with version 2.0 firmware. It's bone stock for the moment but I have seen videos with the aftermarket props they seem to give alot more lift/climb but take longer to return to lower altitude but I will be going with the larger props more stability imo. What brand do you recommend or where should I get them from?

I currently do not have a gimbal and I have not even mounted up the go pro yet I was just going to use the stock mount for now. I have seen some pretty fancy ones off ebay for relatively cheap! Which one do you have do you like it?

carefully open your Blade 350QX and tape a dime underneath the GPS antenna to shield it from the GoPro and avoid interference from its wi-fi so you don't lose GPS lock, which could lead to a fly-away quadcopter...
