Any one had their front seats recovered?

Just curious. My 13 4Runner limited is now pushing 130,000. Only one warranty issue in all that time (tailgate lift shock). Still drives like new. However, lots of driver seat wear. I'm thinking of getting front seats recovered. Just curious how they match up to rear seats (look new..no kids...no passengers).

Have you thought about doing Katzkin leather covers yourself? I've seen a few posts on here where it turned out well.

Ihere are my front seats with the Katzkin leather (cognac colo I think) I had them installed as part of negotiations when I bought it, 2018 SR5 btw. They’re great, love em.

I negotiated these into my purchase price before buying. I had a very long protracted buying/haggling experience with toyota dealer and hounded them until they installed them, I think mine was a very unique situation and at the end of the day it was easier for them to install them than get rid of me, I have them on front and rear seats plus center console, I don't have third row. I asked the company who installed them about door panels but that was going to be $400 per door, not happening on my budget. They were installed in a day, fit perfectly and feel great. I would suggest looking up Katzkin and find a local dealer.

They were installed by a subcontractor for Toyota. I had it for about a month before having them installed and they were done in a day. Sorry I don't have a price for you, haggled with dealership about it. They fit great and Im really happy with them so far, strangely I find the seats more comfortable than factory stocks. I only have 1930 miles on the clock so we'll see how they hold up. Check and see an installer near you and they'll give you a quote

Checked them out on the site. They're 1798 for all 3 rows. Not bad for real leather seats.

just replacing the front seats? check the FS section for someone selling takeoffs after upgrading theirs. probably be pretty spendy to buy new OE covers.

if you can't find takeoffs, you may find it makes sense to consider doing the rears too. (could perhaps sell your pristine second row covers to help defray the cost.) if you do your research, you'll find Katzkin is very well regarded. i just ordered a set (for a different vehicle) and i'm looking forward to receiving them.

Take a look at replacing the foam while you're at it. I know ours was degraded pretty bad at 170ish thousand.

I had mine done with Katzkin as well in red. It was already done and rolled into the car so my price wouldnt help, i hear its not as expensive as people think to do it through an authorized installer.Its great and fits amazing. Everyone compliments them.

My last 4Runner had them installed. Went with the standard black kit with red stitching where the middle inserts were real leather. Price was just under $1000 installed here in Portland. Loved them!
