Any opinions on the Beatsonic Mirror System?

I have been looking at replacing my HU with something with CarPlay compatibility. But I come across the Beat-sonic Screen Mirroring system. Do you have any opinions or experience with this system? I am wanting to keep my system looking factory. I have some technical experience but not a ton. I would be better described at handy.

I think I glanced at this a couple months ago. I thought it might be nice to do, but what bothered me was that while it mirrored the screen, it left the touchscreen useless since there was no input back to the phone.
