I'll have 19 years between 3 agencies in May. Only 13 count toward my current retirement system. Right now I'm driving a plain old 2014 4X4 Special Service Package Tahoe. Its pretty beat and thankfully due for replacement in June. The guy who had it before me liked to chase down speeding motorcycles on steep, twisty mountain roads, which is not the greatest thing for an SUV.
My favorite vehicle was my unmarked 2011 Suburban 2500 I had at my last assignment. It was a bit tough to turn on a speeder, but the 6.0 had serious balls. Plus, it could tow an 8000lb boat trailer without even squatting in the back. I've only had one sedan in my entire career (2003 Dodge Intrepid), otherwise all SUVs.

The new Ford transits look cool though
The transits aren't for 911. We are (very slowly) starting up a transfer division. The transfers have gotten so out of hand it is kinda hurting our 911 side since its mostly 911 system trucks running the non-emergency transfers.

I'm the guy next door to the walker street station at the auto paint store that has to fuss at some of you guys sometimes about parking.
That makes sense about using the smaller transit vans for transfers and not emergency calls.
Ah, well id like to apologize on behalf of some of my coworkers. We have some real self-entitled a-holes that work there.

It's all cool seems it's the same 5 people over and over and I know you guys have more than 5 working over there so it's a small percentage.Things are better now with the situation than they have been the past couple of years. I also ignore it on the nights and weekends since it's not hurting us.
Everyone I have had to deal with on it the past year or so has been real understanding and cool.

Personally I wouldn't post your work (job/unit/city/department) on this website. Yes we can see what LEO department you work at from the picture. What goes up here is public and stays forever. You make a comment in 5 years that offends some delicate flower and suddenly they are looking at your posts and complaining to the city.
One thing you can definitely be sure of .. there are a lot of babies out there. Have you noticed politics is banned completely? Do you know about the folks in the past who've been dox'd and had death threats over some T4R comments & disagreements? These things happened here and not that long ago.
As always ... thank you for keeping us safe! LEO, Firefighters, Military, those who put their life on the line for the public are a nobel bunch.

Ahhhh... yes... the medics are the red-headed step children of the public safety trio. Always left out from any mentioning(or anything else for that matter).... Just kidding, I know in a lot of towns they fall under the fire dept so "firefighters" becomes a blanket term. However not all of us are. But seriously.... we always seem to be forgotten. :shrug:

I am still driving my POS F-150 Ecoboost, which was was supposed to be replaced at 75,000 miles.
I'm now at almost 130K, mainly due to some kind of backlog on new diesel vehicles in the wake of the Volkswagen scandal.
New truck is a Ram 1500 Ecodiesel...ordered last April (!). I'm looking forward to having something that functions, at least for a couple of weeks
