Any paint comparable to por15?

Im looking to paint my frame, rear end, other misc rusty parts.
And also maybe my bumpers.

Is there any paint thats comparable but cheaper?

The por 15 is great but damm its expensive.

Anything out there that works as well for a better value? :hiding:

There are alot of other products like POR-15, but for the most part, they don't work as well. Search google and here. There is a great thread over on the samba where a guy did a head to head test on I think 6 different products. You should be able to find the link pretty easy.

Just do your google research on this one. It is a pretty well documented issue.

I just did what you are trying to do. I used Eastwood's rust converter, encapsulator and chassis paint. I spent over 200 dollars. Bottom line is any rust paint is not going to be cheap.

when it comes to rust repair, look no further then the vw bus crowd, epic rust on these ill loved 40-50 year old vehicles, here's a very good review of different rust products and the out comes.
