Any pics or diagrams of ceiling with headliner removed?

Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the 4Runner roof without headliner? I'm trying to figure out where the roof reinforcement unibody framing is. It looks like there are left to right framing above the rear hatch and just behind the rear seat headrests. There should be another further forward above the driver seat. Pics from someone that has done sound deadening would be really helpful.

Would love a pic of the roof with the headliner removed from while laying on the folded second row seats. Anybody?

What are you trying to accomplish? The photo you're asking for requires that the headliner be removed from the vehicle, not just dropped down like the examples you posted.

In your photos it appears that the cross bars do not contact the sheet metal roof skin. They're not welded together except at the ends to the frame, below the roof skin. You're probably not going to be able to use these rails as anchors for anything because you can't clamp, screw or bolt down to the rails without depressing the roof skin.

If you want more roof strength for roll-over safety just do what Jeep does to the Wrangler and add a roll bar inside that you can bump your head on and impede the cargo space.

If you're trying to attach any kind of rack or accessory you're going to have to use the original rails or the anchor points for those rails. You may need something like a Baja Utility rack or a Gobi basket rack to anchor to.

They are connected to the roof skin. The pics (someone else's that I backlinked) are admittedly horrible, bad angle, light, etc. But the cross framing is structural to the roof and unibody.

I would like to attach a ram mount to one of the cross bars int he cargo area to add a removable SPARK Rechargeable LED Light https://www.gearaid.com/products/portable-light-spark?variant=35350689681 to primarily shine in the cargo area. Thoughts?
