Any recommendations where to get new OEM shocks for best price?

I would go to a website like toyotapartsoverstock.com and look up the Toyota part numbers for the shocks you need. Then put those part numbers into Google and see what comes up.

Ron, I notice you have a Daystar 2.5/1.5, that will work with stock shocks/struts correct?

Yes, it's working now just fine. I did wind up cutting the front spacers down 3/8" because at the full thickness it came out to be a full 3" of lift and the inside CV joint locked up at full droop. With the slightly thinner spacer it runs smoothly even at full droop and I have almost exactly 2.5" of lift.

I'm not sure why Daystar makes that spacer so thick. It measured over 1.5", which is obviously too thick to be a 2.5" lift. Must be allowing for some compression over time.

CV angles are almost zero under normal operation. I'm happy with it so far. Other than the thickness issue, installation was straightforward.

Interesting Ron, I've never heard of that before and hundreds on this forums have that Daystar kit...

I guess that CV wouldn't be a problem with the 2wd eh?

And just curious, what did you use to cut the front spacer down?

It's made of some kind of poly, so I just ran it on edge through the table saw using a carbide blade and the rip fence set to the width I wanted. Had to rotate it several times to cut it all the way through, but it cut clean and straight.

I also had to cut off the stud extensions by the same amount. That went fairly quick with a carbide cutoff wheel in the 10,000 rpm angle grinder.
